ChewieCatt is a Nerdcore artist based in Raleigh, NC. He has close to a million subscribers and one of his most popular songs “Baby Yoda” has over 72 million views. As his Nerdcore songs have been growing in popularity, he has also been busy working on original material not inspired by any popular media. Having seen the work Wallaby has done for JT Music over the years, he reached out to us. We’ve now gotten to work on two amazing music videos together, and can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

AWKWARD
Awkward is a song about getting through middle school. ChewieCatt created an amazing song channeling his experience that many people can relate to. From the sex ed class at the beginning of the music video to the picture day scene, everything came together so…awkwardly.
There were quite a few fun challenges for the production team. First, we were filming with kids which always adds a level of difficulty to any project - but these kids were absolutely great! Then we also had to completely destroy a classroom, and then clean it up - all in one day.
“From pre-production, to post, and everywhere in between, these guys have you covered. I had a crazy idea in my head for a music video, and Wallaby went above and beyond to make it happen. They were so professional and it was one of the most fun projects I have ever collaborated on. Their processes are incredibly streamlined and they deliver amazing work.”

IN THE MOVIES
ChewieCatt reached out to the Wallaby team after seeing our work with JT Music. He had a concept for a music video for his song “In the Movies.” He wanted to show a kid who used films to help him get through a difficulty he was experiencing, perhaps a first heartbreak.
As part of this concept we wanted to see the school psychologist in a few different films, such as a war film, a horror film and an old time gangster movie. This proved an incredibly fun challenge for the team, as we got to explore different film styles and scenes in a single music video.
