NC Ports

North Carolina Ports serves one of the fastest growing regions in the country. The NC Ports team continues to expand and grow the Port of Wilmington, backed by millions in capital improvements. This growth and investment has helped enhance the economy of North Carolina by supporting and improving the state’s logistics network. It has also enabled NC Ports to offer value-added services and capabilities with bottom-line efficiencies that simply can’t be matched. In fact, Wilmington's container terminal was recently named the most productive in North America. Wallaby has produced many videos in partnership with NC Ports for various promotional and marketing efforts.

Unlocking Cold Value

Every year, NC Ports hosts the Cold Chain Summit. This summit brings together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss the latest market trends, consumer behaviors, investments, and more surrounding the movement of refrigerated goods (fresh produce, frozen protein, pharmaceuticals, etc.)

This most recent year saw substantial growth inside and outside the Port of Wilmington's gates. On terminal, an expanded refrigerated container yard and enhanced chiller means even more services and solutions for customers. Outside the gates, near-port partners continue to offer essential value-added services and capabilities. There has also been meaningful industry investment in state of the art cold storage facilities that will attract additional refrigerated goods through Wilmington. This in turn benefits consumers, farmers, and the economy of North Carolina.

To highlight all of this, NC Ports partnered with Wallaby to produce a promotional video showing the massive evolution the Port has gone through. The result is our video “Unlocking Cold Value.”

NC Ports Virtual Tour

NC Ports needed a video that could show potential business partners the capabilities of the Port of Wilmington without needing to physically visit. They had to show off all the site improvements, announcing themselves as a viable port option for big logistics companies. These were big ships moving thousands of containers via trucks, cranes and forklifts at all time of the day and night. The team accomplished this by going everywhere the containers do. We also made sure to use the right equipment for the job, utilizing drones, gimbals and wide angles lenses to capture the scale of the operation. This was an intense two day shoot.
