Wilmington and Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCVB) is the organization responsible for promotion tourism in Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Kure Beach and Carolina Beach. They do this by showcasing all the area has to offer, from beautiful beaches to historic homes, activities, restuarants and everything else. While much of the content they produce is done in house, they wanted to also have a suite of videos that elevates their brand and the region. The goal of these videos is to show off what makes coastal North Carolina so special. Wallaby is wrapping up a suite of videos for them including new destination videos and mini-documentaries on people and place that make this area one of a kind.

SPOTLIGHT: BOUNDLESS STATUE AT CAM

This is the first video in a series Wallaby Film Production is producing for WCVB that highlights different people and organizations in the area. The first one follows Daniel Jones, cultural curator at Cameron Art Museum, as he explains to us the unique concept and history of Boundless. Boundless is a permanent installation on the grounds of CAM dedicated to preserving the legacy and stories of the United States Colored Troops (USCT) that fought on the museum’s ground during the Civil War.

Wallaby got to interview Daniel and hear all about the work he had done on both the Boundless Statue as well as contributing to the Legacy film that tells the story of the USCT. The team also got to attend one of the many tours he gives to visitors to help tell the story of the statue as well as the unique history of Wilmington. This resulted in a short documentary that highlights this unique statue at a one of a kind art museum right here in Wilmington, North Carolina.
